My philosophies

I’ve already got an about section, so what is this page for? Well, I wanted to give you a place to hear more about my core beliefs and philosophies to help you understand whether we’d work well together.

I am a big believer in degrowth, I think it’s one of the essential pieces of the puzzle to get us out of the climate crisis. I’m also pretty anti-capitalist, whilst still, unfortunately, existing and working in a capitalist world. I don’t know whether socialism is the answer we’re looking for, or some undiscovered combination of other political and economic theories is what we need.

People need to buy less stuff. And the stuff they buy needs to be made ethically, to the highest quality, and it needs to last. I won’t be able to promote your brand if you’re not creating products to this standard. I am anti-unnecessary-consumerism and anti-make-people-feel-sh*t-about-themselves-to-buy-your-stuff.

I celebrate slow, cyclical living, and don’t expect replies at the drop of the hat. We’re all human, not productivity-optimised robots, our energies ebb and flow and we will have high periods and low ones.

We’d be a great fit to work together if:

  • You respect our earth and want to protect it in all its glory.

  • You cared/will care about sustainability well-past trendy talking points.

  • You’re a big believer in degrowth and think our current capitalist system is entirely unsustainable.

  • You know constant growth is impossible and are interested in an alternatively shaped “growth” curve.

  • You don’t want quick, regurgitated content that everyone else is sharing.

  • You want to discuss controversial topics and shake up your industry.

Think we’d make sweet music (content) together (in a totally business-appropriate way)?

Here’s how we could work together:

  • This is where change is made, where thoughts are shared and impact the reader. A thought leader article pulls the thread of regeneration through your business and out into the world. It's where you can share the meaningful aspects of your work and start a chain reaction.

These articles are a great example of evergreen content offering your potential customers a well-thought, thoroughly researched piece that will be inspiring and innovative, showcasing your expertise, and offering your unique view.

Prices begin at £300 for a 1,000-word article.

  • Blogs help you to provide relevant and valuable content to your target audience whilst improving your search rankings. But this marketing technique requires commitment and consistency which many small businesses can’t achieve on their own.

I can deliver standout content for your site to engage your audience and establish you as a brand that’s worthy of their loyalty, whilst shouting about how great you are.

Prices begin at £150 for a 1,000-word blog.

  • Your website is your often business’ first point of contact, it should have everything you want to say about yourself in a nutshell, in a readable, informative, and engaging way. A way that really communicates who you are and what you're trying to achieve.

When I write website content it’s with this in mind, to fully express your intentions, your tone of voice, and who you are behind the screen.

Your website is your core thesis, your idea that is going to change the world. You want it to make so your ideal customers think “This is the one” when they read your words. You want a website that avoids any greenwashing faux pas. I can write that for you.

Prices begin at £500 for a 3-page website.

  • Emails are personal. You have to be invited into this personal space. And once you’re there, you don’t want to mess it up. Email marketing can be daunting, but building this loyal audience is something no sustainable business can ignore.

How do you want to speak to that person one to one, what can you offer them to get to know you and believe in you?

Whether you need a lead magnet to build up your email list, a launch sequence to guide your audience to action, or regular email content to bring you sales and revenue, I’m here to help.

Prices begin at £100 for email newsletters.
